The Knole is a traditional working farm with 105 acres and is situated in the
very peaceful, tranquil setting approached by a private drive.
Arrive as guests, leave as friends – this is the aim of your host Mavis Bickle. Arriving at this splendid Victorian farmhouse, along a curving avenue of beautiful old Beech trees you will immediately feel at home.
Whether you wish to be active or just relax and unwind while on your stay, there is plenty to see and do in this central location. The lovely gardens extend to an acre offering you the opportunity to lounge in the grounds or their spacious conservatory and admire the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
At Knole Farm your hosts will be happy to talk to you about their farming life and welcome you to see them at work. They will also be able to point you in the right direction for great days out these include the Eden Project, Lydford Gorge, Morwellham Quay, and the market towns of Okehampton and Tavistock.
Mavis has a Silver Award and five stars for her service and standard of facilities offered. The quality of her farmhouse cuisine is excellent and she offers evening meal with an extensive menu using local and home produced products where possible.
