A very warm welcome awaits you at Higher Woodley Farm, which is nestled in the heart of the Tamar Valley a designated area of outstanding natural beauty where you can experience the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.
Our 3 en-suite bedrooms which have stunning views over the Devon and Cornwall countryside, and are beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with televisions, beverage making facilities, clock radios, mineral water, hair dryers, and fans for hot days and fresh flowers to welcome you.
As you relax in the drawing room you can plan your holiday where there is a resource of material to help you and on return from your visits a log fire to welcome you back on chilly evenings.
Breakfast is served in the dining room where we offer a varied menu including our traditional English breakfast. Special diets are catered for on request. Food is sourced locally whenever possible including prize winning sausages.
We are conveniently located between two popular inns where excellent evening meals can be found and only a short distance away the renowned Horn of Plenty as well as a variety of restaurants and eating houses in Tavistock.
We are an ideal touring base to visit the many fantastic gardens and landscapes of Devon and Cornwall . N.T properties, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, as well as touring to the North and South Coast . Experience walking on Dartmoor , or fishing, golf, Horse riding, swimming, and cycling. We can also provide accommodation for bikes. We have a rich mining heritage around us and this can be discovered at Morwellham Quay, a 15 minute drive away. Higher Woodley Farm is a working Dairy farm and visits to view the milking are very welcome.
Higher Woodley is only approx 3 miles from the ancient Stannary Town of Tavistock and 15 miles from Plymouth .
